New Zealand Women will take on Pakistan Women in the third ODI of the three-match series on Monday (December 18) at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch. New Zealand have won the first two matches of the series and have attained an unassailable lead.

New Zealand won the toss and elected to bowl in the second match. Only four batters managed to make a double-digit score. Fatima Sana played a crucial role with her knock of 90 runs off 104 deliveries. Her innings helped Pakistan post a total of 220 runs before getting bundled out on the last delivery of their innings. Sophie Devine was the pick of the bowlers and picked three wickets for 25 runs in six overs. Molly Penfold and Fran Jonas shared two wickets each.

New Zealand lost their first two wickets for just 13 runs. Suzie Bates and Maddy Green helped the team come out of the trouble and added 142 runs for the third wicket. Bates made 74 runs off 91 deliveries and was the third batter to get dismissed. New Zealand lost the next six wickets for just 53 runs and looked again in trouble. Lea Tahuhu played a fine knock of 21 runs off 26 deliveries down the order and helped New Zealand win the match by one wicket in 48.5 overs. Green was the highest scorer for New Zealand and made 83 runs off 96 deliveries. Ghulam Fatima was the pick of the bowlers for Pakistan and took four wickets for 47 runs in 10 overs.
