Otago Sparks Women squared off against Auckland Aces Women in their last match where Otago Sparks Women won the toss and elected to bowl. Auckland started poorly as they lost two wickets at the score of eight. However, they had a brilliant partnership of 103 runs for the third wicket which helped them score a good total of 146. Otago lost a wicket early as well but were scoring at a rapid pace. They kept losing wickets at too frequent intervals which held them back in the chase later on as they fell short of the target by just nine runs.

Central Hinds Women had played against Auckland Aces Women in their last encounter where Central Hinds Women won the toss and elected to bat. They had a brilliant start as they had an opening stand of 83 runs from 11 overs, making it a good stage to build on. However, they could not build on it as they would have liked to as they lost too many wickets quickly. They were still able to post 146 runs on board. After losing a wicket early, Auckland did have a good partnership for the second wicket but was not able to replicate that later. As a result, they lost the game by 18 runs.
