Preview

Pakistan will host England in the third and last Test match of the ongoing series. England have won the first two matches and will be looking to complete a whitewash. In the previous game, English batters were bundled up for just 281 runs after debutant Abrar Ahmed dismissed seven batters. Pakistan managed to post 201 runs on the board in the first innings despite a partnership of 91 runs for the third wicket between Babar Azam and Saud Shakeel. Pakistan lost the last seven wickets for just 60 runs. Abrar picked four wickets in the second innings, but England posted 275 runs on the back of a century from Harry Brook and a half-century from Ben Duckett. In the second innings, the Pakistani middle order did show some nerves, but that was not enough. Pakistan lost the game by 26 runs.

England have already announced the playing 11 for this game. The 18-year-old legspinning allrounder Rehan Ahmed will be making his debut for England. He will be the youngest English player to make his Test debut. Ben Foakes has returned to the playing 11 in place of Will Jacks and will be doing the duties behind the wicket. James Anderson has been rested for this game. For Pakistan, former captain Azhar Ali has announced his retirement from international cricket after this series.
