Preview
Pakistan and India will lock horns in the fifth match of the Champions Trophy 2025. This match will be played at Dubai International Stadium. Champions Trophy 2025 will be held from 19 February to 9 March 2025 and will be contested by the top eight ranked men's national teams. Group A includes Pakistan, India, New Zealand. At the same time, Group B includes Australia, England, Afghanistan, and South Africa.
Each team has only 3 games and it is virtual knockout cricket so expect Champions Trophy 2025 to be a high-pressure and well-contested event. India and Pakistan have faced each other in 135 matches in ODI. Out of these 135 games, India have won 57 whereas Pakistan have come out victorious on 73 times. The last time these two sides met in a champions trophy game was in 2017 where Pakistan came out on top.
India have made a bright start to the tournament with a six wicket win over Bangladesh. Shubman Gill was the player of the match scoring a century to help India chase down a target of 228. On the other hand, Pakistan sufferred a massive 80 runs defeat in the opening match against New Zealand. This is a really important game for Pakistan and a loss here could end their qualification hopes. This should be an exciting match.
