Pakistan will take on South Africa in the 26th game of the ongoing Cricket World Cup on Friday (October 27) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. Pakistan faced Afghanistan in their last game and lost the game by eight wickets. Pakistan scored 282 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs. Abdullah Shafique and Babar Azam made half-centuries for the team. Shadab Khan and Iftikhar Ahmed made 40 runs each for Pakistan. Afghanistan had a dream start and lost their first wicket in the 22nd over. The top three batters scored half-centuries for the team and helped Afghanistan to achieve this historic victory.

South Africa have been a dominant force with the bat in the tournament and showcased their class in the last game against Bangladesh. They posted 382 runs on the board, with the help of destructive knocks from Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen. de Kock scored 174 runs off 140 deliveries, including 15 fours and seven sixes. Klaasen missed on a well-deserved century as he was dismissed for 90 runs off 49 deliveries. Bangladesh, in reply, were bundled out for 233 runs in 46.4 overs and lost the match by 149 runs.
