Pakistan Women A will be up against Thailand Women Emerging in the 1st match of the Thailand Women Emerging tour of Pakistan at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on November 10. Pakistan Women A are coming off with a good track record, winning all their last three games, while Thailand Women Emerging have not been in too great of a form with two losses.
Both these teams had squared off against each other in their last encounter, which was held at the same venue where Pakistan Women A had won the toss and elected to bat. Pakistan started well on a good batting deck and scored 32 runs for the opening partnership. They made it further better by having a second wicket partnership worth 72 runs. Shawaal Zulfiqar led the attack with 67 runs to her name and remained unbeaten throughout the innings. She took the team to a decent total of 121 runs on the board.
Thailand Women needed to start well in order to keep the chase in check and were quite successful in not losing away wickets easily but were not able to score much in the process. The moment they tried to increase their scoring rate, they started losing wickets. None of the batters could really stay on the crease and take the lead in scoring, although a couple of them did get starts. By the end of the innings, they could only score 93 runs at the loss of five wickets and lost the match by 28 runs.
