Preview
Two debutants who began their campaign with a loss will face each other in the 9th game of the Group C match of T20 World Cup 2024. Papua New Guinea and Uganda got their first taste of top-level international cricket when they took on West Indies and Afghanistan in their opening matches, respectively.
Papua New Guinea (PNG) were largely impressive as they had hosts West Indies in a tight spot in their game. Assad Vala and his bowlers and fielders put up a spirited fight but sadly went down to the former two-time T20 World Cup winners.
Uganda (UGA) had a forgettable debut as they were easily beaten by a far superior Afghanistan side. Brian Masaba will hope that his batters can put up a better show after their capitulation to Fazalhaq Farooqi.
