The 7th match of T20 World Cup East Asia Pacific Qualifier 2023 will be played between Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu at Amini Park in Port Moresby on Wednesday (July 26). Papua New Guinea have won three out of three games, while Vanuatu have lost all there.

Papua New Guinea squared off against Japan in their last match where they bowled after losing the toss. They restricted Japan to 87/8 in 20 overs as Semo Kamea picked up two wickets and four bowlers sharing one wicket each. Declan Suzuki was their top scorer with 34 runs off 38 balls. Papua New Guinea chased down the target in 15.4 overs, where Charles Amini was the highest scorer with 30(28). So, they won the game by six wickets. 

Vanuatu have lost all of their three games so far. They played their previous match against the Philippines, where they opted to bat. But they were bundled out for 97 in 19.3 overs. Wicketkeeper-batter Jarryd Allan was the top scorer, as he scored 36 runs off 35 balls. Three bowlers, along with skipper Daniel Smith shared two wickets each. The Philippines chased the target in 17.4 overs and won the game by six wickets. Joshua Rasu and Williamsing Nalisa picked up two wickets, but it wasn't enough to ensure them victory.
