Paarl Royals vs MI Cape Town, 14th Match - Live Cricket Score

Paarl Royals will lock horns with MI Cape Town in the 14th match of the SA20 2024 at Boland Park in Paarl on January 21. Paarl Royals have done a great job so far with three wins from four games and are second in the rankings, while MI Cape Town have won and lost two games each so far and are in third place.

Both these teams had squared off against each other in their last encounter which was played at Newlands in Cape Town where MI Cape Town had won the toss and elected to field. The Royals were off to a blistering start as Roy kept bashing the bowlers. However, after the loss of the first wicket, the scoring rate went down, and then they lost wickets in a heap as well. Buttler and Roy were the only two batters who looked comfortable, while others struggled. By the end of the innings, they could put up a total of 172 runs on the board. 

MI Cape Town, in reply, were brilliant right from the start as they had an opening stand of 80 runs from eight overs. Even after the fall of the first wicket, the scoring rate did not go down. Dewald Brevis lost his wicket soon as well. Ryan Rickelton held his fort from one end and he kept finding regular boundaries as well. The third-wicket partnership was worth 63 runs which remained unbeaten as they won the match comfortably by eight wickets with more than three overs to spare. Ryan was awarded Player of the Match for his brilliant batting display.
