Paarl Royals will take on Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the 2nd Qualifier of the SA20. This match will be played at Supersport Park in Centurion. Sunrisers Eastern Cape were third in the points table with five wins and as many losses in ten matches. On the other hand, Paarl Royals came second in the table with seven wins and three losses in ten matches in this edition.

Paarl Royals suffered a defeat in Qualifier 1 against MI Cape Town by 38 runs. They opted to bowl first and on a good surface MICT scored 199. It looked like an above-par total at the halfway mark and Paarl Royals were never really in the chase after the first over. They scored 21 runs in the first over but soon kept losing wickets and there was never any momentum. They will be keen to put up a better performance.

On the other hand, the current defending champions Sunrisers Eastern Cape beat Joburg Super Kings in the Eliminator by 32 runs. The winner of this match will play against MI Cape Town in the Final on 8th Feb at the  Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. This promises to be a thrilling match.
