Perth Scorchers Women (PS-W) will be clashing against Brisbane Heat Women (BH-W) in the 36th match of the Women's Big Bash League 2022 (WBBL) tournament at Lilac Hill Park in Perth on Wednesday. Perth Scorchers suffered a big defeat against Adelaide Striker in the last game and are now placed in the fourth position in the league table with 11 points from the opening nine games.
The Scorchers managed to score only 119/9 while batting first despite captain Sophi Devine and Maddy Green scoring thirty-plus knocks. The Strikers then eased to a win with seven wickets remaining in 16 overs with Piepa Cleary taking two wickets.
Brisbane Heat beat Hobart Hurricanes in the last game to jump to the third position in the league table with 12 points from the opening nine matches. They are now leveled up with the leaders Sydney Sixers and second-placed Adelaide Strikers. Nicola Hancock took four wickets for 32 runs but the Hurricanes managed to put a big 164/7 total while batting first. But Laura Kimmince smashed unbeaten 68 runs off just 29 balls to win a last-over thriller with four wickets and two balls remaining.
