Preview
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) are gearing up for their second match in the 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). It hasn't been a week since the two teams met in Ahmedabad, where RCB crushed the hosts by nine wickets. This time, GT is heading to Bengaluru's Chinnaswamy Stadium, and they will be aiming for sweet revenge.
In their last encounter, Sai Sudharsan's unbeaten 84 off 49 and Shahrukh Khan's 30-ball 58 powered GT to a competitive total 200. However, Will Jacks' scintillating hundred off just 41 balls and Virat Kohli's 44-ball 70 helped RCB cross the finish line in just 16 overs. However, RCB are still at the bottom of the points table, while GT are two places ahead in the eighth position.
One more defeat will shut the door to the playoffs for RCB. They have managed to win only three out of 10 matches in the tournament so far. On the other hand, GT have won four out of 10 matches and will be in dire straits if they lose the upcoming match.
