Preview
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will be taking on Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 6th match of the IPL 2024. In the 17th edition of the league, the three-time runner-ups will be up against a team that is looking for a change in fortunes in the league. While RCB have been able to perform well in the last four seasons, it has been a while since PBKS last qualified for the playoffs of a season.
2014 was undoubtedly the best season of PBKS in the league. It was the last instance of them qualifying for the playoffs of a season. In 2024, they would be hoping to improve their record and hopefully win the trophy for the first time. They had a good start to the season by beating DC by six wickets. In their second match, PBKS will be facing RCB in their own backyard. The match is set to take place on March 25 at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
RCB did not have a great start to the season in the IPL 2024. They lost to CSK in their fortress by six wickets. The game against PBKS would be important for them as it will be the first home game for the 2016 runner-ups. Both the teams have some of the best players in the world, like Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Faf Du Plessis, Cameron Green, Mohammad Siraj, Shikhar Dhawan, Sam Curran, Arshdeep Singh, Kagiso Rabada, and so on.
