Melbourne Renegades will face Sydney Thunder in the seventh game of the Big Bash League 2022 on Sunday (December 18) at the Docklands Stadium in Melbourne. Renegades won their first game against Brisbane Heat by 22 runs. They made 166 runs for the loss of seven wickets, with captain Nic Maddinson being the highest-scorer. Akeal Hosein shined with the ball for Renegades and picked three wickets for 15 runs in four overs.
Sydney Thunder had a decent start to their campaign against Melbourne Stars and won the game by one wicket. Gurinder Sandhu won the Player of the Match award as he picked two wickets and made 20 runs off 16 deliveries. Their campaign went downhill in the previous game against Adelaide Strikers. Thunder were bowled out for 15 runs and lost the match by 124 runs. This is now the lowest score in T20 cricket.
