Preview
On July 25 at the Goldenacre in Edinburgh, the 14th game of the T20 World Cup Europe Qualifier will feature Scotland and Austria. Scotland have a 100% winning record in this qualifier with three consecutive wins. Austria contrasting their opponent with three straight losses.
In all three games, Scotland batted first and amassed some enormous totals. They scored 234 runs for the loss of five wickets against Germany and 245 runs for the win against Italy, thanks to their top order. Their bowlers rose up when they faltered for 149 in the previous game to create a victory margin of 10 runs, demonstrating how well their bowling and batting departments complement one another. The blowers take eight wickets every game on average. Their batters are, therefore, their strong zone, and they aim to take leadership once more.
Austria, in contrast to their opponent, dissolved to score 100 runs in three straight games. Furthermore, they have lost 29 wickets in three games as a result of failing to prevent their wickets, which was a big contributing element to their defeat. The top or middle-order batters were not held accountable for their failure to bat a rescue innings while losing wickets frequently. They slumped frequently as a result of this. The fact that their bowlers only take two wickets each game is more concerning because it gives their opponents a licence to score without restriction.
