Sharjah will lock horns with Ajman in the 1st Semi-Final match of the Emirates D10 at the Malek Cricket Stadium 1 in Abu Dhabi on December 30. Sharjah established its dominance in the tournament with 10 wins from 11 games and maintained its top spot. Ajman, on the other hand, won and lost six matches each and finished the tournament in the fourth spot.
Sharjah squared off against Abu Dhabi in their last encounter, where Abu Dhabi won the toss and elected to bat. They came out to bat all guns blazing as their openers made fun of the bowling and smashed all around the park. The opening stand lasted for 92 runs. Alishan Sharafu stood tall as he smashed a fantastic century, which led the team to a mammoth total of 162 runs. Sharjah started the innings well too and had a good opening pair but the required run rate was way too high. They eventually lost the game by 45 runs.
Ajman played against Dubai in their last match, where Dubai won the toss and elected to bat. They started the innings explosively but with the loss of the first wicket, they slowed down. They kept losing wickets one after the other, and boundaries were difficult to find. With a good flourish towards the end, they ended up with a good total of 104 runs. Ajman, in return, was sensational right from the start as both their openers scored their half-centuries each. They did not lose even one wicket in the process and won the game with 10 balls to spare.
