Preview
Sharjah will lock horns with Dubai in the 15th match of the Emirates D50 at the Malek Cricket Stadium 2 in Abu Dhabi on November 16. Both these teams have a similar record so far in the tournament, with three wins from four matches. Dubai and Sharjah are placed second and third in the standings, respectively.
Sharjah squared off against Abu Dhabi in their last game, where Abu Dhabi won the toss and elected to bat. Choosing to bat, they went out all guns blazing and started really aggressively. Their entire top order was in brilliant form and scored heavily, but unfortunately, their middle order could not continue and were bowled out for 243. Sharjah lost a wicket early but had a good second-wicket partnership, which was followed by a sensational partnership for the fourth wicket, which made the chase for them a cakewalk. They won the match by three wickets.
Dubai last played against Emirates Red in their last encounter, where Dubai won the toss and elected to bowl. Emirates started decently but then started losing wickets and were reduced to four and looked in trouble. That is when their solid middle order came into effect, took matters into their hands, and took the team to a good total of 258 runs. Dubai started well with their openers but lost their way with the middle order, which looked weak. Although the lower order did play well and put up a good show, they still fell short of the target by 47 runs.
