Preview
St Kitts and Nevis Patriots will take on the Barbados Royals in the third game of the CPL 2022 on Friday (September 2) at Warner Park, Basseterre, St Kitts. The Patriots lost the first game against the Jamaica Tallawahs by a huge margin of 47 runs. The Tallawahs put a total of 183 runs on the board after a batting masterclass from their top order. Brandon King was the show-stopper for the Tallawahs as he scored 89 runs off just 57 deliveries. In reply, the Patriots could make only 136 runs and only two batters managed to go past 20 runs. They will need better bowling as well as batting performance to overpower the Royals.
The Royals have made a lot of changes to the squad compared to last year. David Miller has been appointed as the captain of the team. He will be replacing Jason Holder under whose captaincy the team won in the 2019 edition. Last year, the Royals finished in the last position in the points table after winning 3 out of 10 matches. They will surely be hoping for a better performance this season.
