Preview
Sri Lanka will be up against Afghanistan in the third and final fixture of the ODI series at Pallekele. Currently, the series is led by Afghanistan 1-0, courtesy of their 60-run victory in the first game. The second fixture saw Afghanistan getting bundled out for 228, but further play was impossible due to incessant rain. Ahead of this game, Afghanistan have booked their place in the 2023 World Cup and will be confident of their abilities. Their best performers have been Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah. On the other hand, the Lankan Lions will look to level the series and grab crucial ODI Super League points. They did well on the bowling front in the second ODI but have to be proficient with the willow. The key players for them will be Pathum Nissanka and Wanindu Hasaranga.
