Preview
Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on Rajasthan Royals in the second match of the Indian Premier League. This match will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. 74 matches will be played across 13 cities over the next two months as the IPL fever kicks off. Qualifier 1 and the Eliminator will be played in Hyderabad on May 20 and 21, respectively. Qualifier 2, on May 23, and the final, on May 25, will be in Kolkata.
Sunisers Hyderabad were the record breakers in the previous edition as they went past the 270-run mark quite a few times. They lost in the Final to Kolkata Knight Riders and ended up as the runners-up. They have further strengthened their batting with the addition of Ishan Kishan. Pat Cummins will lead the side and they once again have a destructive batting order.
On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals have retained most of their players but let go Jos Buttler. They picked up Jofra Archer and the Sri Lankan spin twins Theekshana and Hasaranga. Sanju Samson will lead the side this season but due to an injury he will play as impact player in the initial three games where Riyan Parag will captain. This promises to be a thrilling match.
