Sai Sudarshan played a brilliant knock of 65 runs off 42 balls, bringing them back into the game and helping them post a decent total of 138 runs for the loss of nine wickets. Gillies also had a horrible start to their chase, where they had lost two wickets just for the score of 14. However, the rain returned, and the match could not be resumed. This ultimately led to the match being drawn and both teams sharing the trophy.
