It's the Senior Women’s T20 Trophy 2023 final, and Uttarakhand Women will face Mumbai Women on Thursday (November 9) at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Both teams secured second place in their respective groups, with Mumbai winning five out of six group stage games, while Uttarakhand won four out of six.
In the semi-finals, Mumbai dominated against Bengal, restricting them to 117 runs. Priyanka Bala top-scored with 32 runs. Saima Thakor and Fatima Jaffer took two wickets each for Mumbai. Skipper Jemimah Rodrigues then led from the front, smashing 82 runs off 62 deliveries to secure victory with eight wickets in hand.
Uttarakhand, on the other hand, had a convincing win against Kerala in the semi-finals. Chasing a modest target of 85 runs, they reached it comfortably in 14.2 overs with eight wickets to spare. Raghvi Bist played a crucial all-round role, taking wickets with the ball and scoring an unbeaten 28 runs with the bat, earning her the Player of the Match award.
