Preview
The Vancouver Knights and Mississauga Panthers will square off in the fourth match of Global T20 Canada on July 22 at the CAA Centre in Brampton. There are roughly equal numbers of veterans, new talents on the rise, and a few renowned international stars in both groups. This will surely be an intriguing match at the very start of the league since both teams also contain some strong pacers and young spinners.
In their opening match of the competition against the Toronto Nationals, the Vancouver Knights elected to bowl first. Even though the number of overs was reduced, their bowlers sadly failed to deliver any effective spells to halt the run flow. The opposition scored 100 runs in 11 overs, and the bowlers received adequate treatment the entire innings. They lost their dependable batter, Reeza Hendricks, early while chasing. However, they formed consistent partnerships in the middle to rescue their side in this tricky chase. In the end, they fell by a margin of 10 runs.
The Mississauga Panthers and the Brampton Wolves squared off in their last match, where the outcome was revealed through the D/L method. The Mississauga Panthers lost this game because they were bowling second in this matchup, which proved to be a disadvantage. They scored 121 runs while batting first but lost all 10 of their wickets, which could be their biggest worry going into this game. Both departments will try to rebound strongly because they did not perform to their potential.
