Preview
Warwickshire will lock horns with Yorkshire in the 2nd match of the Vitality Blast 2023 at the Edgbaston in Birmingham on May 20. Warwickshire performed very well in the last edition of the tournament. They had won nine of their 14 league matches and finished the league stage at the top of the table in the North Group. They had qualified for the quarterfinals, where they faced Hampshire and lost the match. Hampshire ultimately went on to win the tournament. Dan Mousley and Paul Stirling would be the new picks to be watched out for. Warwickshire have signed Glenn Maxwell too this season, who will join them after his stint in the IPL.
Yorkshire had a decent outing last season, although they would not be happy with their results. They had managed to win just seven of their 14 games and had finished the league stage in fourth position in the points table of North Group. After a decent outing in the league, they suddenly turned the team around in the knockout games. They beat Surrey in the first quarterfinal, after which they faced Lancashire in the semi-final. Even in the semi-final, they fought well but lost the game. They would look forward to turning this season around and winning the title.
