Preview
The West Indies cricket team is all set to lock horns against England in the first T20I of the five-match series slated to take place on November 10 at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. The forthcoming series follows an enthralling ODI leg that saw Shai Hope and his men claim a 2-1 victory against Liam Livingstone 's-led Three Lions. The West Indies team won the opening and third games by eight wickets, while England won the second ODI by five wickets.
The 2022 T20 World Cup champions are heading into the T20I series with an almost similar squad that was played in ODIs, with one major addition of skipper Jos Buttler. The stylish right-handed batter was last seen in the T20I action during the semi-final thriller of the T20 World Cup 2024, where Rohit Sharma and his men toppled them by 68 runs in Guyana and later became the eventual T20 World Cup champions.
Meanwhile, the upcoming series marks England's first T20I match since their series against Australia in September, where the series was leveled up 1-1 after the last and final T20I was washed out due to heavy rainfall in Manchester. On the flip side, the 2016 T20 World Cup champions are heading to this game after suffering a 2-1 loss to Sri Lanka in the three matches of the T20I series played in Dambulla last month.
