Preview
Back to their collective best, a clutch of the young Indian stars is all set to usher in a new era in T20I cricket with a series win when they will be facing Zimbabwe in the fourth T20I game, which is slated to take place on July 13 at Harare Sports Club.
After a shocking and stunned loss in the series opener, the Men in Blue side rediscovered their magnificent win in the second and third games to take a 2-1 lead against Sikandar Raza and Co.
Under the existing cricketing landscape, a series win over Zimbabwe will not rank highly in the pecking order; but it will certainly spark ambitions and hopes inside some promising stars who are keen to take the Indian team forward post the retirment of some modern-day greats like Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja.
The Men in Blue went on to show resilience and skills in their last two games. After an initial 13-run defeat in the series opener, the Shubman Gill-led side marked a magnificent comeback with a prominent performance by Abhishek Sharma, which helped India level up the series. In addition, the fourth T20I match sees the visiting sides keen to seal the series win, with T20 World Cup-winning stars including Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, and Shivam Dube.
In the fourth T20I clash against Zimbabwe, a number of promising stars and young players are looking to grab the series and begin a new chapter in the shortest format of the game.
