Preview
Zimbabwe will take on India in the fifth T20I of the five-match series on Sunday, July 14, at the Harare Sports Club in Harare. India won the last match by 10 wickets after chasing down the target of 153 runs in 15.2 overs.
It was India’s third win in the series after losing the opening game. India have already earned an unassailable lead in the series.
India won the toss and elected to bowl in the fourth match. Sikandar Raza led the batting attack for Zimbabwe with his knock of 46 runs off 28 deliveries. He helped the team post a total of 152 runs for the loss of seven wickets. Khaleel Ahmed was the pick of the bowlers and took two wickets for 32 runs in four overs.
The opening duo of Yashasvi Jaiswal and Shubman Gill were enough for the Chevrons’ bowling attack. Jaiswal scored a quickfire 93 runs off 53 deliveries, while Gill made 58 runs off 39 deliveries. It was the second back-to-back half-century for the Indian captain. Jaiswal scored his fifth half-century in his short career of 19 T20I matches and won the Player of the Match award.
