Preview

Zimbabwe will lock horns with the USA in the 17th match of the ICC World Cup Qualifier 2023 at the Harare Sports Club in Harare on June 26. Zimbabwe have won all three games and are at the top of the table in Group A. USA, on the other hand, have lost all three matches and are languishing at the bottom of the table in Group A.

Zimbabwe had played against the West Indies in their last match, where West Indies won the toss and elected to field. Zimbabwe started well with a good opening partnership which was carried forward by a couple of good partnerships in the middle overs as well. A few good individual performances set them up for a total of 268 runs on the board. West Indies started well and had a few other partnerships but could not keep it going. Eventually, they were bowled out for 233 runs, and Zimbabwe won the match by 35 runs.

The USA had squared off against the Netherlands in their last match, where the Netherlands won the toss and elected to field. Being put to bat, the top order of the USA failed completely, and their middle order came to the rescue act. The lower order provided the finishing touch, and they were able to reach a respectable total of 211 runs. The Netherlands did not let their shaky start disturb them too much and went ahead carefully with some good partnerships. The Netherlands chased down the score pretty easily and won the match by five wickets.
