Stuff on the Internet goes viral as soon as it catches the eye of a group of people of even a single withholder. To cite an example, a few years back a short clip of Ross Taylor mouthing a Hindi slang went viral on social media. Even though the word wasn’t audible, from the lipsync it was clear what the word was. With no hesitation, fans declared it was the Virat Kohli-effect because the two players are teammates in the IPL. Such is the reputation of the Indian captain whose animated behaviour on the field is known to all.
During the ongoing 5th ODI between India and Australia, Kohli was seen animated on the field like never before. There’s absolutely no doubt regarding how vigorous the Indian captain can be while playing the game of cricket. The entire crowd at the Feroz Shah Kotla stadium got a glimpse of the local lad’s vigour during the decider against Australia. Kohli was clearly channelling the pressure of the game through his dynamic energy.
India started off this series at a high note winning the first two ODI games, however, they lost the 3rd and 4th ODIs at Ranchi and Mohali. This is India’s final venture before they start their World Cup campaign. Meanwhile, the visitors have set a target of 273 for India to chase. Opener Usman Khawaja’s hundred consolidated Australia’s innings in the beginning but the rest of the batting line-up couldn’t hold the momentum.
Virat Kohli’s vigour at the Feroz Shah Kotla
The Indian captain was seen giving send-offs to the departing Australian batsmen after each wicket. Kohli was seen smouldering after bagging a couple of significant catches of Khawaja and Maxwell. Australian opener Usman Khawaja scored his second ODI hundred, both against India in this series, and had put the visitors on top. On dismissing Khawaja, Kohli threw the ball furiously on the ground, thus expressing the significance of the Australian opener’s wicket.
Following that, in the next over, he who was standing at the cover took the catch of Glenn Maxwell off Jadeja’s delivery. The skipper was spotted as he threw the furiously yet again.
