'Lockdown has allowed me to be with my kids' - Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his 47th birthday with wife Anjali and children
Earlier, a source had revealed that Sachin Tendulkar will not celebrate his birthday as a mark of respect for the Coronavirus warriors who are working day and night.
Sachin Tendulkar, the former Indian batsman turned 47 on Friday amid the Coronavirus pandemic that has taken more than 1.9 lakh lives across the globe. This is the reason due to which the Indian government has enforced lockdown in India. However, the birthday boy is looking at the brighter prospect in these negative conditions as well.
The name of 47-year-old doesn’t need any type of introduction. He is one of the best batsmen that international cricketer has ever witnessed in its long history. Master Blaster holds several batting records that are quite difficult for any batsman to break like most number centuries in Tests and ODIs, leading run-scorer in the red ball and white ball cricket etc.
Sachin Tendulkar looks on the brighter side amid lockdown
In a recent interview, Sachin Tendulkar said that he is trying his hands in household works like cooking food, cleaning the house, watering plants. As per him, the lockdown has given him the opportunity to spend some time with his kids, wife and mother. Tendulkar feels that it is tough for the kids to stay inside the house in the evening as they always want to meet and hang out with their friends.
However, they are expected to go through this difficult time with a smile on their faces. Master Blaster also recited that his company SRT management is trying to come forward with help for the people. Moreover, he also gave a hint of planning something special in the same context.
“I am cooking, cleaning the house, watering the plants. This lockdown has allowed me to be with my kids (Sara and Arjun), who’re now both 20-plus. It’s difficult for them to stay at home in the evenings. They want to catch up with their friends and do their own things. However, this lockdown has allowed both me and Anjali (his wife) to spend time with them. Similarly, my mother is also getting more time with me,” Tendulkar said as quoted by Time of India.
“It’s time to reflect for his company, SRT Management too. This is about giving back to people in whatever way we can, which is important. We’re also planning something for the future. We’ve also been able to pass on messages from our government on a number of important issues,” he added.
