MS Dhoni and his retirement has been one of the burning questions in Indian cricket and social media keeps buzzing around it every now and then. Ever since the World Cup semi-final last year which India lost, #DhoniRetires has trended quite a few times. But every time it turns out to be a rumour and the same happened on Wednesday evening. However, the cricketer’s wife Sakshi Dhoni quashed all the rumours and lashed out at people for the same.

The veteran wicketkeeper-batsman hasn’t played any competitive cricket since July 2019. There have been various speculations about him with MS Dhoni himself asking a journalist to not ask anything until January 2020. After this incident, many thought that he will come back for the New Zealand tour. But that didn’t happen and the man was in the nets finally ahead of the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL).

Even as the fans started flocking in at the Chepauk stadium to see their hero practice, the Coronavirus pandemic put a full stop to all the cricketing action. It also delayed Dhoni’s return to the cricket field and as it stands now, he is with his family amid lockdown in the country.

‘Get a life’ – Sakshi tweets only to delete it later

Coming back to MS Dhoni’s retirement rumours, Twitter flooded with the ‘Thank You for the memories’ messages for him as #DhoniRetires started trending. While this was not the first time that it was happening, Sakshi Dhoni decided to clarify regarding it and took to Twitter late on Wednesday. She took a dig at everyone spreading the rumours stating that lockdown has made them mentally unstable.

However, Sakshi deleted the tweet later for unknown reasons. “Its only rumours! I understand Lockdown has made people mentally unstable! #DhoniRetires… Get a Life!” her tweet read.
