Rohit shining for MI
Back in 2013, Rohit took over as the skipper of the Mumbai team from Ricky Ponting. It changed MI’s fortunes from the outset. In the very year, he guided the side to their maiden IPL victory. Then in 2015, 2017 and 2019, Rohit scripted glory for the team. The pressure of captaincy didn’t affect his batting by any means as he is one of the leading run-scorers of the T20 tournaments.
Last year, MI won the title for the fourth time, beating the Chennai Super Kings by a solitary run in Hyderabad. Back in 2018, Rohit also sacrificed his opening slot to make way for a few talented cricketers. Even going forward, Rohit is expected to take down a few records. Recently, Gautam Gambhir felt that Rohit has the ability a few more IPL title before he calls time on his career.
