These days Indian skipper Virat Kohli is super active on his social media accounts as the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) is about to get underway. All cricketers are stuck at home as India haven’t played international cricket since the New Zealand tour back in February. The Delhi lad can be often be seen showing off his new RCB kit or his fitness routine.
Recently he shared pictures with his teammates and captioned it ‘loading’ as he can’t wait to go to United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the cash-rich league. The right-hander also captains Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL and has been the only player to play for the same franchise for all the 12 IPL seasons thus far.
The Bangalore franchise is yet to win a title and the skipper would be roaring to go on the field to clinch one this time. Kohli posted a video on Instagram, which had his previous interviews for RCB and some behind-the-scene clips as well. He captioned the video and wrote, “Loyalty above everything. Can’t wait for what’s to come”.

Kohli’s weaker form in New Zealand tour was a matter of debate
Royal Challengers Bangalore have reached IPL finals three times, but they are yet to break the jinx and win it for the first time. Last time the team went to final was in 2016 where Virat starred with 973 runs in the competition. He is known to lead from the front and his weaker form in New Zealand was a matter of discussion for the whole cricket world. With a break of six months, it will be interesting to see how he comes back with his top game.
Kohli and AB De Villiers are the two most important pillars of the team. With the team struggling to control leaking runs in death overs the addition of Chris Morris and Dale Steyn, along with youngster Navdeep Saini in the tank, could change their fortunes this year. Addition of Aaron Finch’s experience and Moeen Ali’s all-round abilities are also a plus for them.
The Bangalore captain, however, is training hard in his apartment. He can be seen lifting heavy weights which tells us that the break has not made him unfit at all. This should give the most important boost to one of the most unfortunate teams of the IPL. Notably, RCB finished at 6th, 8th and 6th positions respectively in the last three years.
