LPL 2021: Complete schedule of the tournament

The Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2021 is all set to commence from December 5 at the R Premadasa stadium in Colombo. The reigning champions Jaffna Kings will battle it out against Galle Gladiators in the opening fixture of the tournament. The initial 20 games of the LPL 2021 will be hosted by the R Premadasa Stadium.

Whereas on the other hand, the remaining matches will take place at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium in Hambantota. Similar to the Indian Premier League (IPL), LPL has adapted the Eliminator format. The top two sides will lock horns with each other in Qualifier 1, while the third and fourth teams on the points table will face each other for the Eliminator.

The winner of Qualifier 1 will advance to the final, whereas the loser of Qualifier 1 will face the winner of the Eliminator in Qualifier 2. A reserve day has also been allocated for this edition of the tournament.

All the teams are allowed to have a squad of 20 players, wherein six overseas cricketers can be included. Colombo Stars, Dambulla Giants, Galle Gladiators, Jaffna Kings, and Kandy Warriors are the teams that will feature in this edition of the tournament.
