Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), playing in just their second Indian Premier League (IPL) season, defeated five-time champions Mumbai Indians (MI) in the league stage but got beaten up by them in the crucial eliminator clash to get knocked out of the competition.
After losing the Eliminator twice in two years, LSG failed to qualify for the playoffs in IPL 2024 missing out just on Net Run Rate. MI marred by off field controversies also endured a torrid IPL 2024 finishing last.
