There is absolutely no doubt over the fact that Twitter is a highly entertaining platform. It is a second home for celebrities and the best part about is that the fans have the privilege to interact with them. We got another example of the same when Sri Lankan legend Mahela Jayawardene got involved in a conversation with a fan, but all in good spirit.
It is known to the world that one of the greatest Olympian of all time Usain Bolt ran his last 100 meter race yesterday. Though the iconic sprinter could not end his career with a gold, he was not bowing out without a medal. Bolt earned the bronze in London as he finished behind Justin Gatlin and Christian Coleman who finished first and second respectively.
The main story:
Mahela Jayawardene took the moment to post a tweet on behalf of the 8 time Olympic Gold medallist. It was a wonderful gesture from the right handed batsman as he showed his respect towards a fellow sportsman. Jayawardene’s tweet read “Respect usainbolt”. Replying to his tweet, a crazy fan of legendary Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni came up with a rather irrelevant tweet. The fan stated that Mahela should also respect MS Dhoni who is faster than Usain Bolt. Wait. What? Was he serious?
While we are still trying to find out the logic behind his comment, it can be assumed that he was talking about Dhoni’s lightning fast stumping abilities. However, that too does not make any sense in respect to Jayawardene’s tweet. Jayawardene, who is often regarded as the epitome of calmness, trolled the fan in the most appropriate way. In an answer to his claim, Jayawardene asked him whether Dhoni was on his bike or not. That was an epic answer from the man and was hilarious as well. Here is the whole conversation:
Also respect to @msdhoni who is more faster than bolt
