Mamata Banerjee wishes Sourav Ganguly a speedy recovery after the latter suffers a mild cardiac arrest

The entire cricket fraternity was left stunned when it was reported that the former Indian captain and the president of BCCI Sourav Ganguly suffered a mild cardiac arrest. Earlier on January 2, Saturday, Ganguly was rushed to the famous Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital in Kolkata after he complained of chest pain and experienced dizziness while he was exercising in the gym.

Ganguly underwent angioplasty in the evening and it is learned that the former captain is now stable. Journalist Boria Majumdar had greeted the fans with the good news of Ganguly’s health getting stable at the hospital.

“Good news. He is stable. Stent has been placed. What I am told in this: “infero lateral wall myocardial infarction Right Coronery Artery stenting done. He is presently fine” Woodlands sources. @SGanguly99 thank god,” Boria had tweeted.

As the news of Ganguly’s health had surfaced on social media, a number of cricketers including Virat Kohli, Ravichandran Ashwin, Shreyas Iyer, and many more had wished for the speedy recovery of the legendary cricketer on social media. The chief minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee, also took to her official Twitter handle to drop a message for Ganguly and wished him good health.

“Sad to hear that @SGanguly99 suffered a mild cardiac arrest and has been admitted to hospital. Wishing him a speedy and full recovery. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family!” Mamata Banerjee.

The man is responsible for changing the way people look at the game of cricket in India and he instilled the fighting and aggressive spirit in the players as, under his leadership, India won at home and overseas.
