Man of all brands Virat Kohli bags 1.5 crores a day

India’s ace batsman Virat Kohli is a juggernaut on the field but off the field too, the young Indian cricketer is no less when it comes to brand endorsements.

The bat stickers are known to be making the cricketers richer with each tournament. Kohli’s MRF bat for the World T20 that concluded recently fetched Rs 8 crore (Rs 80 million) as compared to MS Dhoni’s Rs 6 crore (Rs 60 million). When it comes to TV ads, Dhoni is the leader with a charge amount of 8 crores while Kohli gets 5 crores for the ads. Yuvraj Singh charges 4 crore for his Puma bat and all the apparel that the brand gives him.

AB de Villiers bags approximately 3.5 crores from his deal with the bat stickers and the West Indian player Chris Gayle gets 3 crores for his endorsements.

Interestingly, with the kind of rampaging form that he is in, the brands are flooding into rope in him to be their chief endorser. The resultant being that the Delhi lad is becoming richer with each day and each brand. Recent calculations revealed Kohli earns approximately 1.5 crores per day from his brand endorsements while the limited over skipper MS Dhoni bags an amount between 1 and 1.5 crores each day.

Virat Kohli’s endorsements are managed by Cornerstone and the CEO of Cornerstone, Bunty Sajdeh, suggests that his consistency makes the brands go after him. “Being on top of his game consistently, Virat gets his share and we look into these on a weekly basis. There has been no spike resulting from recent matches, but there are new offers and conversations on a regular basis,” he quoted.

At the moment Kohli is the leading endorser with as many as 13 brands under his nme, including the big names of  MRF, Pepsi, Adidas, Audi, Vicks, Boost, USL, TVS, Smaash, Nitesh Estate, Tissot, Herbalife, and Colgate.

Reports suggest that most of the deals that Virat has signed are for a couple of years and he is entitled to assign at least 4-5 days a year for the brand, which includes the promotions and the shoots. MS Dhoni, on the other hand, has mostly yearly deals to which he has to commit one day only.

However, the cricket star Virat Kohli still lags behind the Bollywood actors like Ranbir Kapoor, who have bag around 2.5 crores each day.
