Mahendra Singh Dhoni had silently announced his decision of stepping down as the captain of the limited-overs team and his teammates and fans once again were deprived of this opportunity to give him a farewell but the Indian selectors wouldn’t let that happen. MSK Prasad & Co. not only named MS Dhoni in the India A team for the first warm-up match but also appointed him the skipper which meant it would be MSD’s last match leading the Men in Blue.

The Mumbai crowd was excited and came out in big numbers to cheer for their favorite captain. He didn’t disappoint them and played an entertaining knock – an unbeaten 68 from 40 deliveries. During his stay in the middle, a particular fan was so carried away that he decided to make his way to the center and meet Dhoni.

He scaled through the 10-feet fencing at place between the stands and the ground, then dodged the security personnel guarding around and ran towards Dhoni who was talking with his batting partner Hardik Pandya possibly about their strategy for the last few overs of the innings.

Though he made his way towards the pitch he was a bit reluctant to approach Mahendra Singh Dhoni. The umpire was worried he would walk on the pitch, the skipper indicated him to jump over the wicket and there he was touching Dhoni’s feet as the crowd cheered him. Dhoni also shook his hand as he struggled to maintain his balance. In no time the security guards reached the scene and dragged him out of the playing area.

It is also learnt that the World Cup winning Indian skipper assured the man wasn’t beaten up by the security or police. There was no fine imposed on him and was sent away with a warning. That however resulted in a much tighter security at the ropes after for the rest of the game.
