Manan Vohra set to play for the Lindfield Cricket Club in England

Manan Vohra had a sparkling start to his career. At a very young age, he proved his potential at the age group level and quickly ascended up the ranks. He was picked by the Kings XI Punjab for IPL 2013. Although he played a few decent knocks, Vohra failed to deliver those impact knocks. Hence, his career graph went downwards and he is working hard to find his way back at the moment.

Manan was recently snapped by the Rajasthan Royals at the IPL 2019 auction at his base price of 20 lakhs. The franchise decided to buy him at the last moment. Earlier, in IPL 2018, the opener represented the Royal Challengers Bangalore. However, he didn’t have a fruitful season there.

In four games, Vohra registered scores of 2, 0, 45 and 8 which totals up to only 55 runs in four innings. As a result, he hasn’t got many opportunities in his state team Punjab as well due to poor form.

Vohra working hard to find his feet

After the IPL season, he only got to play four games for Punjab in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2018-19. But, repeated failures resulted in his ouster. The 25-year-old only scored 87 runs in those four games at an average of 22.

Now, he has signed a contract with a club team in England. He will play for the Lindfield Cricket Club as the overseas player in 2019. Vohra is expected to join the side in May next year subject to Visa applications. However, it still remains to be unsure if Vohra will forgo the last stages of the IPL to play for the LCC. The club announced the same news on their Twitter handle.
