Australian leg-spinner Adam Zampa started a new inning in his life in June, marrying his girlfriend Hattie Leigh Palmer. The love birds had dated for a long time before tying knots and their social media pages are flooded with romantic pictures. However, Zampa and Hattie haven’t been able to spend a lot of time even after marriage due to the former’s cricket assignments.

All thanks to Australia’s recent white-ball tours of West Indies and Bangladesh, Zampa has been occupied. Although the leg-spinner is known to be taking a lot of pride while representing Australia, being away from his wife hasn’t been easy for him. The same is evident in his latest story on the picture-sharing website. While reposting a snap of Hattie, Zampa highlighted that it has been 68 days since his marriage. However, he only got eight days with his wife.

Adam Zampa has been busy with the national team

“Married for 68 days, been with wife for 8,” Zampa wrote alongside a crying-face emoji. The post went viral in no time with netizens consoling the star bowler. Notably, Zampa and Hattie hitched up on June 23 in New South Wales. Days after his marriage, he flew to the Caribbean Islands for five T20Is and three ODIs. The series against the Men in Maroon was followed by the five T20Is against Bangladesh.

Although Australia couldn’t do well in these outings, Zampa was pretty impressive. While the leg-spinner chocked runs in the middle overs, he also took wickets at regular intervals. Several fans and experts also praised his stellar show despite the Aussie team not producing brilliant results. The leg-spinner also might be pleased with his performances. However, not being with Hattie Leigh Palmer right after marriage wasn’t easy for him.

Meanwhile, Zampa has pulled out of the second leg of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which gets underway on September 19 in UAE. This means the star leg-spinner will next be seen in the high-voltage T20 World Cup which takes place in October-November in UAE and Oman.

With the wickets of the Arab nation known to assist spinners, Zampa certainly has a job in hand. Notably, the prestigious T20 title is still elusive for the Aussies. Hence, it would be interesting to see whether their drought ends this year or not.
