Bangaldesh ODI skipper Mashrafe Mortaza has returned to the nets after winning the battle against his recent physical issues. The fast bowling all-rounder made his return on Wednesday after recovering from his sickness. After taking part in a fitness camp in Bangladesh the senior cricketer flew straight to Kolkata to receive the ‘Shera Bangali’ award. The award was presented to him by Kolkata media powerhouse ABP Anondo, for his massive contributions to Bangladesh cricket.
On his returned to Bangladesh the cricketer fell victim to an illness. It was reported that Mortaza had blood coming out with his cough. Following the problem, Mortaza went through several Tests at the Apollo Hospital. Fortunately for the cricketer, nothing severe was recognized in the Tests. However, he was strictly advised by the doctors to take rest and he followed the instructions. After taking the required break, the Bangladesh international is back to what he does best.
The Bangladesh cricket team is preparing themselves in Chittagong for their upcoming Test against Australia. Mashrafe Mortaza has not traveled with the team as he would not be a part of the two-match Test series against the Kangaroos. Instead, Mortaza has been practicing alone in Mirpur.
The tigers will be returning to the city capital of Dhaka on 12th August from Chittagong. They will play a 3 day warm-up game in Chittagong before making their way back. Mashrafe is expected to join the team after their arrival in Dhaka. The team has a huge test ahead of them in the form of Australia. However, the players seem to be oozing in confidence and they believe that they can beat the visitors under any circumstances. They had a successful home series against England in the yer of 2016, where Bangladesh won the second test to level the series 1-1. The team will be lead by Mushfiqur Rahim when they lock horns against the Aussies.
