Mason Crane names Shane Warne as the captain in his All Time XI
Crane picked Alastair Cook and former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as his choice of openers in the side.

Young English leg spinner Mason Crane was recently awarded with a national call up in the Test squad for the Windies series. He had earlier played in the national side this year in the limited overs cricket. Crane, a leggie by trait, has the ability to spin the ball a great deal. Needless to say, he adores legendary legspinner Shane Warne. This choice of his evident when he recently named Warne as the captain of his All Time XI side.
In the recent times, there has been a trend wherein the players pick their all time best sides. Mason Crane became the latest to join the trend. The official social media handle of the Lord’s Cricket Ground uploaded a video of the same recently. Crane picked Alastair Cook and former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar as his choice of openers in the side.
He noted that Cook has a mountain of runs to his name. And Tendulkar had been a great player for India for so many years. In the list followed the name of Brian Lara, who Mason Crane believes is the greatest batsman ever. Kumar Sangakkara came in at number 4 and Crane called him a stylish players. Former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis is at number 5 in Crane’s team.
AB de Villiers is the next man in and Mason feels he is one of the most innovative players. The destructive nature of Adam Gilchrist fetches him a spot in Crane’s XI. Crane named Warne as the captain of the team and called him the best bowler ever. Alongside him, Anil Kumble is the other spinner in the lineup of the English leggie. The two pacers named by Crane in the team are James Anderson and Glenn McGrath.
