Just about a couple of days ago, sports presenter Mayanti Langer lashed out her mockers by posting an hard-hitting letter on her twitter handle. The open letter created a lot of news and showed the bad side of being a public face.

The response was very strong and many came her support at that time while admitting that using trolls and jokes to demean someone is never a amusing idea. Two days later, Mayanti thought of a showing gratitude to her supporters and tweeted a ‘Thank you’ message to her followers.

“Thank u for such a wave of support, can’t underestimate the power of kind words,” she tweeted.

Mayanti decided to let her feelings out after some user taunted her calling her a gold-digger. In a polite yet hitting message to the trollers, she talked about her struggle to achieve the success she has today and how it is unfair and senseless to defame anyone on public platforms for fluff reasons.

Here are few lines from letter.

“Taunting me with suicide is shameful. Think of families that suffer because of this tragedy and you have reduced their plight to a joke.”

“I hope you find love and loyalty. By suggesting divorce, suggests you haven’t.”

“She wrote, I’ve been working since I was 18. Instead of calling me as a gold digger, go get a job and earn to support yourself and your families.”

“I’ve been working since I was 18. Instead of wasting time calling me a gold-digger, go get a job and earn the right to support your self and your families.”

Here is how Twitterati responded to her tweet:
