Mehedi Hasan Miraz is only 17 and has made an amazing start to his Test career given the manner in which he dispatched the Britons in the fall of 2016, something that ensured that they were indeed a force to reckon with in the Test level as well.

However, as a teenager, Mehedi Hasan made his way out to  the Indian subcontinent with one thing on his mind. Of course, he wanted to win the Test match, but the fact was that he was also someone who was quite clearly an avid learner.

After the close of the match and the subsequent pleasantries, the teenage sensation was seen in conversation with India’s very own Ravichandran Ashwin who seemed to be one of those who was an avid teacher in the grad scheme of things as far as Mehedi Hasan was concerned.

The twitter handle of the Board of Control for Cricket in India came to life eventually as they snapped the duo as they were in conversation. It was clear that Ashwin was sharing a few tricks of the trade of off-spin bowling, something that Mehedi was perhaps more keen on listening to. Bangladesh might have lost the Test match, but they have certainly gained in stature given the fact that they gave the world number one side a run for their money in the grand scheme of things.

A tweet from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) read, shortly after their account came to life was: “Sharing knowledge with youngsters. Spin wizard @ashwinravi99 teaching nuances of spin bowling to @BCBtigers‘ Mehedi Hasan.”
