IPL 2025: Funniest Memes from PBKS vs RR Mid-Innings of Match 18
Rajasthan Royals posted 205/4 on the board after being invited to bat first by Punjab Kings
Rajasthan Royals posted a good total of 205/4 on the board after being asked to bat first by Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025. On a slow surface in Mullanpur, RR took a calculative approach as a batting unit and attacked PBKS bowlers in different phases. The trio of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Riyan Parag shined with the bat.
RR's opening partnership set the game up for their side. The opening stand lasted for 10.2 overs which saw them score 89 runs. It was Samson's return to the side as the skipper and he scored 38 runs in 26 innings. Jaiswal's return to form was the most crucial aspect of the match for the Royals. The Southpaw scored 67(45), which included 3 fours and 5 sixes.

Following the dismissal of Nitish Rana, RR accelerated extremely well. In the last 32 balls, the inaugural champions scored 77 runs for the loss of a solitary wicket. Riyan Parag led the charge at the death and scored an unbeaten 43*(25). Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel assisted him with cameos of 20(12) and 13*(5) respectively.
Barring Lockie Ferguson and Arshdeep Singh, the PBKS bowlers did not bowl as well, especially on a surface which had something in it for them. While Ferguson dismissed both openers, Arshdeep operated in all phases and did not let RR's score from going beyond PBKS's reach. Seasoned bowlers like Yuzuvendra Chahal and Marco Jansen were disappointing.
