Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) cruised to their fourth away victory in IPL 2025, defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) by nine wickets in a commanding performance at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium on April 13. The Royal Challengers wore their special green jerseys to promote environmental awareness and encourage tree planting, and also marked a strong comeback after their recent home defeat.
In the first innings, RR posted a competitive total of 173 for 4, led by an impressive knock from Yashasvi Jaiswal, who scored 75 off 47 balls, including 10 boundaries and two sixes. Late fireworks from Dhruv Jurel (35 off 23) helped the hosts add some valuable runs, helping the team to a respectable total. On the bowling front for RCB, Krunal Pandya stood out, maintaining an economy rate of 7.2 and dismissing RR skipper Sanju Samson.
In reply, RCB openers Virat Kohli and Phil Salt took full control of the chase. The Englishman was explosive from the start, smashing 65 off just 33 deliveries with five fours and six sixes. Kohli played the anchor role, guiding the innings with a composed 62* off 45 balls. Devdutt Padikkal also contributed solidly with an unbeaten 40* off 28 balls, helping the team seal the win with 15 balls to spare.
