When arch-rivals Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings renew their rivalry at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai on April 21, one team will be eyeing their first win of the season while the other look for their second. The two successful teams have had a tournament to forget so far and they would be hoping for a revival in fortunes from hereon.

Meanwhile, two Caribbean superstars have been the hearts of both these teams for so many years. One is Dwayne Bravo and the other is Kieron Pollard. The two might be fierce competitors on the cricket field but have lately shared an adorable gesture ahead of the ongoing contest as both the West Indies teammates met each other.

Dwayne Bravo catches up with Kieron Pollard on the field

In a video posted on Twitter, Kieron Pollard was on his way to batting practice and that is when Dwayne Bravo showed up and touched his feet. The duo then share a friendly hug along with a conversation and head their separate ways. Another interesting thing here was that a photographer who was standing just behind them left no stone unturned in capturing this precious moment.

Pollard had announced his retirement from the international level on April 20 after a 15-year glorious career for the West Indies. The Trinidad and Tobago cricketer represented the Caribbean in 123 One Day Internationals and 101 T20Is and established himself as one of their best all-rounders. He was also an integral member of the West Indies squad that had lifted the ICC T20 World Cup trophy in 2012 against Sri Lanka.

After Kieron Pollard decided to bring curtains down on his international career, he was congratulated by the cricketing fraternity including the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, etc.

Coming back to the contest, CSK skipper Ravindra Jadeja won the toss and elected to bowl first. It turned out to be an ideal start for the defending champions as they picked up the key wickets of captain Rohit Sharma, Ishan Kishan, and Dewald Brevis early on.
