‘MS Dhoni will get over quickly’: Michael Hussey
Michael Hussey said that one of the best abilities of MS Dhoni was that it wouldn’t take too long for him to get over defeats. He revealed that surely MSD gets disappointed but he quickly moves on to the next match.
“One of his great ability is he will not take on defeat for too long. Yes, he will be disappointed like everyone, but he will get over quickly and look over to the next match and that is a great trait to have”, Michael Hussey said during a podcast with ESPNCricinfo.
Hussey then compared this trait of Dhoni’s with Former Australian captain Ricky Ponting. He revealed both Dhoni and Ponting never rode on emotions all the time, instead they were consistent character during the highs and lows. He also pointed out that this is a trait which all great players have.
“Ricky Ponting was similar too, whether he was going well or going poorly. A consistent character and not someone like a yo-yo, going up and down, riding emotions all the time. He would be level the whole time, a trait you notice in great players”, Hussey added.
