Amit Mishra did not garner any bids in the 2022 IPL mega auction and went unsold. The leg spinner had been an integral part of the Delhi Capitals (DC) side till IPL 2021 but failed to find any takers this year.
And now, the owner of the Delhi Capitals (DC) side, Parth Jindal has taken to Twitter to offer his tribute to one of the greats of IPL cricket. Jindal stated that the DC franchise would like to salute Mishra for everything he has done.
Jindal also added that the Delhi Capitals (DC) franchise would love to have Mishra’s services in the future, and concluded by stating that Mishra’s insights are very valuable.
“To one of the IPL greats Amit we at Delhi Capitals would like to salute everything you have done for us over all these years and would love to have you back at DC in whatever capacity you see fit as your insights would be most valuable. Mishy bhai DC is yours for life,” tweeted Jindal.

Amit Mishra has experienced a storied IPL career
Amit Mishra has experienced a stellar career in IPL cricket. The leg spinner has featured in a whopping 154 matches in the IPL and has scalped 166 wickets at a superb strike rate of 19.50. He is currently the 3rd highest wicket-taker in IPL history.
Mishra has also taken 4 four-wicket hauls and also a five-wicket haul in IPL cricket as well. Mishra was last seen in action in the IPL on 27th April 2021, when he turned out for the Delhi side against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) outfit. He took 1 wicket and leaked 27 runs in the 3 overs that he bowled in that encounter.
Shardul Thakur was DC’s most expensive buy in the IPL mega auction, with the Capitals splurging a whopping sum of INR 10.75 Crore to procure the right arm Indian pacer.
